“We just stayed one night but this is a really beautiful old house and grounds. We had a little two bedroom cottage overlooking the pond and it was extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. As we stayed during the week it was cheaper so I thought very good value. The staff from the reception, cleaning staff, and restaurant staff were so friendly, it was just as places were shutting down due to corona virus we managed to get some casual dinner and a lovely breakfast but I am sure this will all be takeaway by now. The main restaurant was already closed. I do hope the place and the people working there survive the impact on the tourism industry that the virus will have. Thank you so much for looking after us and wishing you good luck for the future.”

Nothing too much trouble, great tour of the property free if charge included which was excellent. Gardens and water features beautifully maintained and accommodations scattered tastefully throughout. Great dinner and breakfast too. We hadn’t reserved a table for dinner but we were very kindly squeezed in early doors which was extremely kind and we were not disappointed. Whole stay Just a delight. Sarah“It's a beautiful old house in a good location just outside the town centre of Natchez - about 5 minutes drive. The grounds are beautiful with a lake, gardens and woods. Our room was in an annex rather than the main house andI think most of the rooms are too. The room was a good size and and comfortable with lovely old furniture and pictures. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the canapes and aperitifs in the early evening (the canapés are complimentary - you pay for the wine). The restaurant is good if you want to eat in the old dining-room of the house. Breakfast was in a pavilion in the gardens and was fine.”
David“What a great surprise! The hotel was lovely and welcoming and we had a great time. We stayed two nights and felt spoiled. The staff (yes you Roosevelt!) were amazing, southern hospitality at it's best. Breakfast was included and was southern fare, generous portions and friendly staff. We ate dinner in the study/bar both nights because the atmosphere was fun and friendly. Roosevelt is an asset to this hotel, one of the sweetest and amazing staff you'd ever be served by. As was Hal, Lara and Joshua. We stayed in a King Suite and felt very spoiled. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was big. We did the historic tour of the main house (complimentary for guests) which was great, recommend. Overall staying in the Monmouth made our trip to Natchez really fun. Location is close to town and to the NPS Melrose site where you could also do tours.”

Vikki“We loved everything about Monmouth Inn. Staff typified southern hospitality, so friendly, especially Hal. It was a great place to relax after travelling for hours. Our luxurious room overlooked the pond and we enjoyed a drink on the porch before dinner in the bar. Breakfast was substantial the following morning. We will not forget Monmouth Inn in a hurry.”
