Make sure to visit Colombian coffee shop on McGuinness Bd their coffee is delicious and not pricey for the quality, the Bakeri on Freeman has a good selection of breads and sandwiches, Maman on Kent street is a cozy place, their quiches and chocolate cookies are delicious. Brooklyn brewery and the bowl are a 20 minutes walk, you can hop on the ferry to Brooklyn Bridge and visit Dumbo and the Outmarket. The rooms at the Box are bigger than other hotels in NYC, the hotel is well maintained and decorated, it is easy and free to park in one of the streets around.”

• “The location, the staff and the decor were great. The problem was hearing the movement of the people above. There’s no carpeting so it was pretty noisy at times.”

• “This was our first time staying in greenpoint and we loved it. Although the hotel is on a quiet street its super close to access the main road where there are lots of restaurants, In less than 5 minutes you can reach some of them and within 10 a whole lot more. It snowed while we were there so LOVED the free shuttle service, they dropped us off at dinner each night, picked us up and took us to the station after check out. This really made our stay. It was easy to get too when arriving, we came in from Hamptons by train and walked over the bridge, in hindsight might have been easier to get a taxi as we had heavy bags but without big bags would have been a breeze. The room was a good size with a great bathroom.”

• “Rooms were clean and spacious. We were 6 ppl staying in 2 rooms (1 double and 1 loft) and it worked out well, we made our own breakfast in the kitchen almost every morning. There was a grocery store close by where you could buy everything needed. The lobby and restaurant were nice. Also we used the free shuttle service one evening when it was raining, the car took us to the restaurant and back. Even though there was a short walk to the subway it was very convenient, line 7 took about 10mins to grand central station. Quiet street, some street noice came in since we had a room facing the street, other sides must be more quiet. ”

• “I really liked the design of the rooms and the multiple artwork display in the room as well as in the public areas. It is a short 10 minute walk distance to the metro station which brings you to Grand Central in 15 minutes from door to door.”
